Visit FED Urban Farm—an innovative, high-impact urban agriculture project connecting the Victoria community with sustainable, local food. Situated on 20,000 square feet of previously undeveloped land beside the Galloping Goose in Dockside Green, the farm produces 7,500 lbs and counting of organic produce annually to serve families and local restaurants. It’s a living demonstration of how underutilized land can be transformed into vibrant, productive food-growing spaces. The vegetables are grown spray-free in geotextile containers—lightweight, modular, and perfect for urban settings.
Beyond the Urban Farm, FED revitalizes other overlooked urban spaces, turning them into thriving food hubs that provide fresh, healthy vegetables for vulnerable populations. Currently, they operate rooftop gardens at Our Place Society and the Songhees Wellness Centre, growing nutritious food for the communities they serve.
The FED Urban Farm tour will offer a guided walk through the gardens, complete with a tasting of the seasonal produce. Learn about urban agriculture design and discover practical techniques that can be applied to both small and large-scale growing.
There are 2 tours available: 2.15pm and 3.15pm
