Join us for Family Day workshops! Conveniently grouped in The Rotunda, Design Victoria is bringing together a variety of workshops for curious young minds. Kids and families can come and explore a variety of activities: - Kids will redesign everyday objects—like water bottles, backpacks, or chairs—through drawing, sketching, and colouring to make them more sustainable, user-friendly, and innovative with ANCORD Design Co in the Everyday Product Redesign Challenge. - Creators of all ages are invited on a trip to Upcycle City, where they can re-imagine waste materials to build a vision for the future with dHKarchitects and design educator Kate Barton. - Vancouver Island Marble will host a mini-scavenger hunt to identify local stone used within the Rotunda - Explore Design Victoria's new brand identity through a stamp workshop with shapes created for Design Victoria. - Vancouver Island University will display work by students from the graphic design course, who will be on hand to talk about the program with visitors. - Camosun College will host family-friendly activities and explore materials that showcase the their community and courses. Activities are ongoing and open from 11-1pm at the Rotunda—stop by anytime!
