FAMILY DAY EVENT: UPCYCLE CITY

TIME
10:00 am
LOCATION
The Rotunda, 1515 Douglas St.

Bring the whole family to Upcycle City, where kids of all ages are invited to a fun and engaging session using repurposed materials to create sustainable masterpieces. We will explore ideas about the future of building – How can we use ‘waste’ to make our lives better? What could cities look like in the future?

Guided by mentors from dHKarchitects and LANARC landscape architects, and design educator Kate Barton, participants can imagine, build, and document their designs for a sustainable future. The workshop will investigate how everyday materials can be re-purposed and reimagined, using scale models as well as 2D and 3D visualizations.

An imagination station full of materials and tools will be provided, and participants are encouraged to bring upcycled materials to contribute (clean please!)

This event is part of the Family Day workshops.
