Join us for a conversation about the role of art in our built environment. Both public and private initiatives are essential in fostering the arts in our city. Public art is not currently mandated for private developments in Victoria. The panel will focus on how private sector artworks may point the way to aesthetically and culturally enriching life in this place. It is hoped that this event will encourage meaningful dialogue among those who invest in and those who make art, as a normal way of developing urban property.
Art in Public is part of the exhibition: OUT of PLACE The Collaborative Art of Bill Porteous and his recent Connotations for Paintings
Visitors to the Art in Public panel discussion will get a sneak peek at the exhibition. The complete exhibition will open to the public on May 14th.
