HOMELESSNESS IN VICTORIA: EXPLORING TRAUMA-INFORMED CO-DESIGN

How can we create spaces for housed and unhoused communities to build understanding and meaningful relationships through stories?

For this month's workshop, we will be partnering with The Existence Project to explore how to run trauma-informed design sprints around the topic of homelessness.

The Existence Project is a Victoria-based organization that is tackling the stigma around unhoused folks through storytelling. Join us to explore how we can bring together a diverse set of participants with lived experience, community partners and the public together for a joint, collaborative design session.

This session will be a combination of knowledge sharing from The Existence Project coupled with design exercises to practice ideation with other designers. Come with your brain ready to collaborate - we'll provide the rest.

No experience with design necessary. Open to all curious. A great place to connect with service designers in Victoria! These meetings are built to make user-centered design accessible to everyone. Learn the design-thinking framework by having fun with empathy, team-building, ideation, and prototyping. A system and mindset that you can apply to your own work and projects.

Perfect for idealists, public sector, entrepreneurs, non-profit, storytellers, data scientists, researchers, students... everybody who is curious about design thinking and working to improve lives and services.
