FILM: SOVIET BUS STOPS
Canadian photographer Christopher Herwig travels the former Soviet Republics from Ukraine to Uzbekistan, Armenia to Far Eastern Serbia, and all points in between, in a decades-long bus stop treasure hunt spanning more than 50,000 kilometers. Uncovering the stories of the designers who built fascinating architectural marvels during the Soviet regime, Soviet Bus Stop is an ode to the power of individual creativity that would not be suppressed.
Following the 60 minute film will be a Q&A session with producer Ian Toews and Anne Person, Vancouver co-producer of the Architecture & Design Film Festival Vancouver.
